Sample NEC / Basillai Entertainment Certificate

In 2005, the National Examinations Council approved a curriculum, developed after his time in the studio as both a Recording Engineer and studio manager. The programme still holds certification of NEC level 1, with further programmes under development.

Identifying the limitations of the programme, Basil sought to have further training developed in the field, with hope of specialised training in Audio for Video, Recording, Live Performance and others. These were not nationally recognised courses and therefore led to his addition to the standards committees of the NTA (National Training Agency) to develop standards in these areas. Currently, Basil chairs two committees on the development of standards for advanced training in Sound Engineering and Video Production.
